Health & Safety Policy 

WCP Welding & Corrosion Protection considers it employees to be its most valuable resource and undertakes to safeguard, as far as practicable, all employees and the public at large, from injury, damage and environmental impact arising from any of the operations associated with its business on it construction sites. 

WCP Welding & Corrosion Protection has a further obligation to protect its physical against damage, wastage and loss.

  • To consider all statutory safety, health and environmental legislation as being minimum standard of precautionary practice.
  • To ensure that risk is reduced to a minimum by implementing of safety, health and environment programs designed to protect employees and company property.
  • To ensure that safety, health and environment take precedence over expediency.

All employees are directly involved in the achievement of these objectives.  They will be advised and assisted by those managers and supervisors who have legal responsibility for ensuring that all problems relating to safety, health and environment are given the required attention and brought to notice of management. Employee’s obligation is to ensure the achievement of these objectives.

  • Compliance with all safety, health and environment measures which the employer may set out.
  • Taking all reasonable care for their own safety and health, the safety and health of others and their prevention of loss or damage to company property.
  • Ensuring that protective clothing and safety equipment is used as stipulated to provide protection and to guard against injury to personnel or damage to property.
  • Reporting all unsafe acts or condition to their work supervisor, or health and safety official.

The co-operation of the staff at all levels as a committed team, in carrying out this policy will ensure the safest possible working conditions, thus minimizing injuries and losses.

Environmental Policy 

We at WCP Welding & Corrosion Protection are committed and undertake to protect the environment in all the areas under our control at all times by implementing a proper, functional environmental management control system.

Environmental impact studies and risk assessments will be done on a continuous basis to indicate any potential source of pollution to the air, ground, water and ecosystem alike wherever we are operating.

We at WCP Welding & Corrosion Protection hereby undertake to become pro-active in our efforts in the prevention of polluting the environment by managing and controlling our operations, through our prevention systems and on-going worker awareness training.

Statement of Safety Policy

  • Pine Ridge Trading 13 cc t/a WCP is committed to establishing a SHE Policy relevant to the Civil Construction Industry (Welding and corrosion protection on water pipe lines that will incorporate all Health, Safety and Environmental issues affected by its operation.
  • Our SHE Policy is guided by, and based on all relevant SHE Legislation which will form the basis of our minimum SHE Requirements.
  • This Policy will be monitored on an ongoing basis and will be subject to Management review on a periodic basis.
  • Pine Ridge Trading 13 cc t/a WCP will ensure that all personnel are informed of, and trained in the practical application of SHE. SHE is the responsibility of all members.
  • Pine Ridge Trading 13 cc t/a WCP is committed to the continual improvement and assessment of its SHE Standards.
  • Pine Ridge Trading 13 cc t/a WCP will strive to safeguard the Environment from all operational practices whilst promoting community health and safety and good business practices.
